Fried Chicken ala Max's with Tanglad

Fried chicken one of our ultimate favorite food. I personally want crispy chicken skin but tender and juicy inside. Fastfood restaurant have their own way of cooking fried chicken.Having their own distinct taste and flavor which every costumer loved and made them buy over and over again.

Fast food chain like KFC, Jollibee ,McDonalds, Greenwich  ,Chowking ,Max's are among the fast food restaurant in the Philippines who offer  and serve different flavor of fried chicken. Having their own unique secret recipe of a crispy delicious fried chicken. We can cook our own fried chicken at home too. My simple version is just marinated with garlic and salt sometimes with instant seasoning coated with flour or cornstarch. Instant chicken breading mix is the easiest way to achieve that restaurant taste like fried chicken. Lots of variety and flavor will be found at the market or even at the nearest sari-sari store.

One whole fried chicken is more interesting and appetizing of course it's yummy. There are lots of videos cooking one whole fried chicken and it caught my attention and made me decide to do my own version. They call it Max's Style Fried chicken one of Max's Restaurant signature dish. The ingredients of the trending chicken are patis, onion, garlic, bay leaf or laurel, water and oil for frying.

I am a big fan of tanglad or lemongrass and I like food with lemongrass maybe because I am Visaya and it's one of our  food spices in our province. We put it in lechon, tinolang manok, sinabawang isda, or even in (law-oy) mix vegetable with soup. So that's why my version is with tanglad inside. The aroma of the lemongrass gave a different flavor to my fried chicken.

Sharing my own version of fried chicken ala Max's with tanglad.

The whole fried chicken cost about P180.00 pesos whole chicken is P150 pesos plus oil onion and garlic is available in the kitchen so no need to include in the costing.Tanglad is freshly pick from our neighbor's backyard so it's free. Good thing about this way of cooking fried chicken is that, there is no preservative added all natural no instant seasoning, no breading mix. It's crispy outside but so juicy inside plus if you love tanglad the juicy flavor of onion and tanglad will difinitely  satisfy your cravings.
