My different kinds of chopsuey

Chopsuey is a dish in American Chinese cuisine and other forms of overseas Chinese cuisine, consisting of meat (often chicken, fish, beef, shrimp, or pork) and eggs, cooked quickly with vegetables such as bean sprouts, cabbage, and celery and bound in a starch-thickened sauce.

Chopsuey Filipino chopsuey is a good source of many vitamins, including calcium, iron, vitamin B6, vitamin C and folic and pantothenic acids. It has an average calorie and fat content and a high carbohydrate and protein content.

I can say eating  Chopsuey will give you a high dosage of vitamins and fiber that your body need. Carrots are a good source of beta carotene, fiber, potassium, antioxidants and vitamin K1. Green beans are a good source of folate, vitamin C & A. Cabbage is also packed  with nutrients and very low in calorie. It contains fiber, vitamin K,C,B6 Calcium, Potassium and Magnesium. Cauliflower also is a very low in calories and high in vitamins like vitamins C, K,  B6 folate and Phosphorus.  Sayote/ Chayote squash also can be aded to Chopsuey that is also have a lots of impressive health  benefits. It has carbohydrates, protein, vitamin C and zinc. The meat and seafood added to this dish is good source of protein. If you want your Chopsuey extra special you can add quail eggs too. It contain Riboflavin, Choline and iron. You can also add mushroom that according to researchers at the National University of Singapore eating 3/4 cup servings of cooked mushroom per week may boost your memory.

I cooked chopsuey according to my budget, mood and the availability of the ingredients. If I don't have meat or shrimp I just saute cabbage, carrots, and sayote with onion and garlic add slurry and seasoning chicharong baboy will do if it is available.

Chopsuey with small shrimp.Dried shrimp can be used too if the fresh one is"nt available.

With mushroom, one of my daughter's favorite version. She loves mushroom and adding it into chopsuey will attract her to eat mix vegetables.

With pata, this is unusual but still delicious. The bony pata will add challenge in eating your mix veggies. Just make sure to boiled the pata first before adding it to the vegetables.

With quail egg and chicken balls with 100 grams ground pork. These will make the chopsuey more tasty and nice looking.

Lately I discovered Mama Sita's Chopsuey mix. It made cooking chopsuey easier. No need to put salt and seasoning. Just pour it along whith all the ingredients.
