The Reason Why Everyone Must Eat Bitter Gourd
Bitter gourd a vegetable with bitter taste. A lot of people hate it because of its taste. A vegetable with lots of name to be called. Also known as bitter melon, bitter cucumber, balsam-pear, bitter apple, or bitter squash. In the Philippines it's called ampalaya, Visaya people called it paliya.
Even though it has unpleasant taste it is loaded with vitamins and health benefits. Vitamin A, Vitamin C and iron are its vitamin content. It is used as tea to lower blood sugar or even made into capsule as alternative treatment for diabetes. But despite the evidence that it can manage blood sugar, it isn't approved medication for diabetes . The leaf of bitter gourd also used in the Philippines as ingredients in Ginisang Monggo ( Monggo beans) which added a bitter taste to the beans recipe and also added an overflowing vitamins to the cooked dish. A very useful and beneficial vegetable indeed.

Bitter Gourd Salad
Ingredients
1 large bitter gourd
1 piece medium tomato
Small onion
Vinegar
Salt or bagoong
Procedure
*Slice bitter gourd thinly.
*Squeeze it with salt. And wash with water this help to lessen the bitterness.
*Blanch the bitter gourd.
* Mix all the ingredients and it's done.
